The Believer
One thing you might not know about Jon Klemens is his strong affinity for his wife’s carrot cake. Klemens is President and Chief Operating Officer of First Renaissance Ventures, an investment advisory and corporate development services firm with offices in Radnor, Pennsylvania. He also serves as advisor to investment funds helping early stage companies, primarily in service industries and to regional investment banking boutiques. Klemens provides a range of corporate development, financial advisory and strategic planning services to clients in the legal, compliance, professional publishing, technology, and government markets.
At kReveal, Jon leads our business development efforts with the benefit of his extensive address book – one of the best in the business. Chief among the many strengths Klemens brings to the kReveal team is his in-depth understanding and analysis of market opportunities and identifying prospective clients.
Prior to founding First Renaissance, Mr. Klemens was a shareholder and Administrative Principal of Altman Weil, Inc., a leading international legal consulting firm. During his sixteen-year career at the firm, Mr. Klemens headed both the Technology Services and Market Research/Vendor Advisory practice groups.
A true humanitarian, Klemens has been known to give money to those he passes on the street who are less fortunate. His most significant role models are his siblings and successful entrepreneurs and he can’t live without noise suppressing headphones, airplanes with wifi and good business friends and their advice.
In addition to government, law department and law firm clients, Klemens has led product development and market research projects for clients including Apple Computer, Microsoft, LexisNexis, Thomson Rueters, Matthew Bender, IBM, American Lawyer Media and the American Bar Association just to name a few. But at kReveal, Jon is the promoter, the true believer… and chances are if you give him a few minutes, he will make you one too.
